I’ve done a lot of eating since I moved to San Francisco.
One of my favorites that I return to again and again is the chilaquiles from La Primavera at the Saturday morning farmer’s market at the Ferry Building.
Head to the back part of the Ferry Building, bring cash, share with someone you love (or not), also order the pineapple and cucumber, or strawberry agua fresca to drink, make sure to add some of their fresh salsa to the plate, and sit at a communal table, or perhaps a pedestrian only curb.
Be prepared for crowds and bring a bag to pick up some local fruit and vegetables from the produce stands after.
A perfect weekend ritual.
