Oyster shucking, is two parts finesse and one part strength.
Having never shucked an oyster until Saturday, I spent a few minutes watching videos on YouTube to help me out.
It’s pretty simple, and fun and rewarding.
I will say, I may still prefer a beautiful plate of oysters served shucked sitting on ice ready to be eaten, with a bottle of chilled cava, than having to work for my food.
Also for anyone nerdy about nutrition like me, oysters are low in calories and high in iron, calcium, zinc and other great things.
